題目：On Some PDE Models for Infectious Diseases

　　摘要：

　　How do space and environment impact upon infectious disease? This talk will discuss several partial differential equation models for infectious diseases, mainly focusing on the effect of spatial diffusion and environmental factors such as spatial heterogeneity and time-periodicity on the basic reproduction number, and address issues related with coexistence of multiple strains. We will also discuss some related mathematical theory for principal eigenvalues of second order differential operators.

　　報告人簡介：

　　樓元，上海交通大學數(shù)學科學學院院長,，1984-1991年就讀于北京大學數(shù)學系，獲學士和碩士學位。1991-1995年就讀于美國明尼蘇達大學數(shù)學系并獲博士學位,。曾在MSRI（1995-96年）和芝加哥大學（1996-98年）做博士后,，1998-2021年任教于俄亥俄州立大學數(shù)學系,，2009-2013任美國數(shù)學生物研究所副所長,，2022年起任上海交通大學數(shù)學科學學院講席教授,。其研究興趣是反應(yīng)擴散方程及在生物學中的應(yīng)用,，發(fā)表學術(shù)論文140余篇,，目前擔任J. Differential Equations、J. Math. Biol.,、SIAM J. Appl. Math.等期刊編委以及DCDS-B的共同主編,。
